— The Atelier —

Slowly made.
Always.

Stitchwork was founded in 2011 by master tailor Henry Wallace, after fourteen years on Savile Row. Our atelier — a converted top-floor studio above the West End — operates with three full-time tailors, two apprentices, and a fitting room with very good light.

"A suit is the most personal thing a man wears. The point of bespoke is not to be expensive. The point is to be honest."

— Henry Wallace, Founder & Master Tailor

2011

Henry opens Stitchwork after fourteen years on Savile Row, with one apprentice and one bolt of fabric.

2015

Took on two additional master tailors. Established our pattern library — over 1,400 patterns and counting.

2019

Expanded the atelier and added our shirting room. First commissioned a wedding party of fourteen.

2025

Three master tailors, two apprentices, and a clientele who keep coming back. Our oldest client has commissioned thirty-one suits.

— The Process —

A bespoke commission.

From first consultation to final delivery, every Stitchwork garment moves through five hand-fitted stages.

01

Consultation

A 90-minute conversation about how you live, what you wear, and what is missing. We measure 28 points and discuss fabric.

02

Pattern & First Fit

Your pattern is hand-cut from canvas, basted into a try-on garment, and refined on you. Most adjustments happen here.

03

Final Fit & Delivery

A second and sometimes third fitting refines the cut. The finished garment is hand-finished, pressed, and delivered to you.
